Albany jumped all over Siena early holding a 19 point (31-12) lead with 5:41 remaining in the first half. From there on out it would be all Saints with minimal pushback from the Great Danes. Siena would cut the Albany lead down to 8 by halftime as the Great Danes would only record 6 points as Siena scored 17 in the final 5:41 of the half.
The Great Danes would find themselves up 9 with 18:01 remaining in the contest, their largest lead of the second half. The Great Danes were led by Mike Black (18 points, 4 assists, 4-7 3PFG) and Jayson Guerrier (13 points, 6 rebounds, 3-5 3PFG).
Both teams shot well from deep in the first half; Albany finished the half 5-11, while Siena went 6-11. As good as both were in the first 20 minutes they were that much worse in the second half. Siena went 1-7 from deep in the final 20 minutes, as Albany went 3-11.
The Saints out-rebounded the Great Danes 46-35 in the contest. Siena would finish the contest 11-17 from the charity stripe while Albany would attempt only 5, making 4.
Due to scheduling issues this game was played on a Monday night, which is why there were less than 10,000 in attendance. May that mistake never be made again.

Albany led the whole game taking a 1-0 lead on a Richard Peters free throw 1:44 in, on their way to a 77-68 victory over Siena. The Great Danes would commit double the turnovers (16-8) of the Saints, however their efficient (54.18% on FG's) attack would be enough to defeat Siena on this night.
The Great Danes were led by Evan Singletary, who scored 21 points on 5-6 shooting; including 3-3 from deep and 8-8 from the free throw line. Peter Hooley tallied 20 points on 5-11 shooting while going a perfect 6-6 from the charity stripe. Dallas Ennema added 10 points in only 18 minutes for Albany.

12/12/15 7:35 pm est-- Times Union Center -- Albany, NYFinal: UAlbany 70 Siena 78 Albany MVP: Peter Hooley- 20 pts, 5 rebs, 7-16 FG in 39 minutes
Siena MVP: Lavon Long- 19 pts, 4 rebs, 5 assists, 3 blocks 7-12 FG in 38 minutes
A listed attendance of 10,790 fans would watch as Siena controlled most of the 2015 Albany cup; outplaying Albany down the stretch to bring the trophy back to Loudonville. While the Saints ran a rather efficient attack, the Great Danes stars struggled as Ray Sanders and Evan Singletary finished a combined 8-25 (32%) from the field, and Peter Hooley finished the evening with a game high 4 turnovers.
Siena would take a 6-1 lead into the first media timeout as Albany struggled from the field early. The Saints would extend their lead to 8-1 before the first Great Danes field goal, over 5 1/2 minutes into the contest. 9 minutes in Siena held a 12-3 lead before Albany got it going offensively.
A banked Ray Sanders three pointer would be the first made shot from deep by either team, as Siena led Albany 16-14 at the under 8 media timeout of the first half.
The remainder of the first half would be a back and forth affair once the Great Danes evened the score at 20 on a Dallas Ennema three with just under 6 minutes remaining.
Enough can't be said about the work put in by Lavon Long, as he carried the scoring load for the Saints in the first 20 minutes. Albany had no answer defensively for the Junior as he hit from all over the court.
The Great Danes would take their first lead of the game 25-23 with around 3:45 remaining in the first half; however the Saints would counter, heading into the break with a 34-32 lead.
Albany's shooting issues in the first half were on the interior as they finished the half 5-12 (41.7%) from deep, but only 5-17 (29.4%) from two point range. Siena would only attempt 6 three pointers in the first half; making two, but shot a very healthy 12-24 (50%) from two point range.
The second half would remain tight as Albany would hold a 55-54 lead over the Saints at the under 8 media timeout. Siena would outplay the Great Danes in the final 8 minutes, as they finished the half shooting 16-27 (59.3%) from the field and 3-6 from deep.
As the game broke open late Javion Ogunyemi would get both the TUC crowd and his team fired up with a couple of nice dunks. Ogunyemi would finish the contest 5-7 from the field with 13 points and 4 blocks in 27 minutes.
Siena would get contributions throughout their roster in the 2015 Albany Cup as Lavon Long finished with 19 points, Brett Bisping with 14, Marquis Wright with 12 and Nico Clareth with 14. Bisping would record a double-double in the contest as he added 15 rebounds to go along with his 14 points. One could argue that Bisping should've been the Saint's MVP in this one; as no other player on the team recorded more than 5 rebounds.
Albany was led in scoring by its perimeter as Peter Hooley finished with 20 points, Evan Singletary with 15 and Ray Sanders with 12. The issue for the Danes was that their normally efficient offense struggled from the field, as they finished the game shooting 37.1% and 7-23 (30.4%) from deep after going 2-11 from distance in the second half.
While the Great Danes perimeter struggled shooting the ball they also received minimal offense from its interior. Mike Rowley finished the contest with 9 points on 3-6 shooting, and Greig Stire finished 0-3 from the floor with 3 points. Albany was forced to play small ball in the contest as both Travis Charles and Richard Peters missed the game due to illness. Jamir Andrews stuck out for Albany as he played well during his limited 4 minutes of action.
