Albany had to grind out a home win over Canisius, a game they trailed by double digits late in the first half. The good news for Albany is they've found ways to win games they've struggled in, as good teams do. David Nichols has been struggling over their last three contests as he's averaged 10.6 pts on 27.3% shooting (12-44), 16.7% from deep (3-18) and a 1.3 ast/tov ratio. The Albany offense goes as Nichols goes, don't expect this slump to last much longer.
Stony Brook faced a tough (albeit struggling) opponent on the road as they gave Providence all they could handle Sunday afternoon. The Seawolves actually led by 11 with 8:19 remaining in the contest, when they had a win probability of 80.3%. Credit the Friars for turning up the defensive pressure late to prevent Stony Brook from stealing a buy game win. The refs should've swallowed their whistles late as Providence won the game from the free throw line with 0.6 seconds left. on a debatable foul call. Akwasi Yeboah has fully thrown himself into the America East POY discussion by averaging 20.3 points on 51.4% shooting in the Seawolves last three contests. When you consider the 9 point, 2-12 shooting game he had vs Hofstra it shows you how impressive Yeboah was vs Providence and Columbia.
UMBC grabbed a very solid home win over Northern Kentucky on Sunday thanks to a 31 point, 6 assist effort from Jairus Lyles. With most major stats equal vs NKU the Retrievers won the contest from the FT line where they shot 16-19 (84.2%). The superhuman effort by Lyles is even more impressive when you consider UMBC's second leading scorer Arkel Lamar was 0-8 from the field.
Binghamton stole a road win at Sacred Heart where they held the Pioneers scoreless over the final 9:16 when they trailed 48-40. The win wasn't anything special, but the stingy defense down the stretch saved the Bearcats from a bad loss and enabled them to continue their winning streak. JC Show was the only Binghamton player to finish in double figures (21 points on 7-16 shooting) with no other player scoring more than 6. Show scored 9 of the 11 Binghamton points during the comeback on Sunday.
New Hampshire beat Lyndon State by 80.
UMass Lowell outscored Boston University by 9 during the first 10 minutes of the second half on their way to a 5 point victory. Matt Harris led the way for the River Hawks scoring 27 points on 6-10 shooting and an 11-12 effort from the free throw line. Jahad Thomas contributed as he always does, but in a more efficient way-- posting 17 points on 6-12 shooting while adding 6 assists and only 2 turnovers.
Hartford didn't play, so their two game winning streak is intact. J.R. Lynch has played 93.3% of their minutes vs D1 competition...good for 10th most in the nation.
Maine held Saint Joseph's to under a point per possession in their 13 point loss to the Hawks. Isaiah White led the way for the Black Bears with 21 points on 8-14 shooting. Turnovers doomed them in this one as they committed 17 while only forcing St. Joe's to commit 3.

I'd live with this take if you could give me some examples of it. Can't just throw stuff like this out there without backing it up.
