2016 NCAA Tournament, NJ Style

The Garden State is represented by 41 players on 24 teams in the 2016 NCAA Tournament.  Players included are only those who listed their "hometown" as somewhere in New Jersey. Where you played high school ball doesn't matter, they got a choice of where to put as their hometown on their college bio...and they all chose somewhere in New Jersey.

NJ Teams Dancing

Seton Hall
Fairleigh Dickinson (eliminated during First Four)

Who 2 Root 4

Stony Brook

Team with two New Jersey players in Carson Puriefoy and Jameel Warney who have a chance to upset powerhouse Kentucky in their second (first) round game Thursday night. The game tips at 9:30 on CBS with Nantz and Raftery on the call.

Seton Hall

As a Rutgers fan this one will be tough for some of you. The Pirates are fun to watch, and have multiple players from the Garden State on their roster. SHU closed out the year playing hard defensively as their stud guard Isaiah Whitehead found his groove. They have a solid chance of getting past Gonzaga and then Utah/Fresno St. in their first two games.
